More than ever before there is an opportunity for personal and professional growth
I have grown up in my family business. The motor trade environment has shaped my success. Even though it’s not the cultural norm as a civilised career. I persevered with my job satisfaction rather than cultural expectations.
It is empowering sharing my expertise with clients. It’s rewarding seeing clients develop confidence in me, my business and their cars. I love problem solving, supporting customers and keeping them moving.
My transferable skills include profiling clients and their car usage, understanding their pain points to serve them better.
People think that the automotive sector is hard work and dirty and that you have to work in difficult conditions. But my advice for someone considering changing sectors and joining automotive as a career would be to go for it.
If you want a career that is rewarding and empowering, the automotive industry is the path to take. You learn so many life skills, it’s a fun environment and the trade is another family
with a strong community. More than ever before there is an opportunity for personal and professional growth. The motor trade is embracing change and welcomes anyone who is willing to learn and grow.
